Trip to Boston
We had a great time in Boston. We got to spend some time with Uncle Ryan, Aunt Melissa and Hudson. As you can see in the pictures, Hudson and Logan are ready to drive trucks. We also did some sightseeing which included the Aquarium, Paul Revere's house, USS Constituion, Bunker Hill, a couple of cemetaries where Benjamin Franklin's parents are buried and also John Hancock. We also went up in the Skywalk at the Prudential Center and also the JFK Presidential library and museum. We also had dinner with our friends - Kelly, Jeff,Kaitlyn and Teddy who were in NJ the same time we were. They are now in Boston. We packed alot into 4 days!!
Logan's 5th Birthday
Sanders Family Reunion
We headed to West Virginia for the week for the Sander's Family Reunion. Kaitlyn joined us for the week. The kids had a great time. They enjoyed horseback riding with Aunt Sharon, golfing with Shawn, crafts with Aunt Beverly, hayride with Ginger & Joy, a game of Marco Polo in the pool with Channing, riding the tram with Mark and Linda and their girls, paddle boats with Memaw, monopoly game with Kaitlyn and Taylor and lots of bicycle riding.
Logan celebrated his 5th birthday with pancakes for breakfast and cake with blue icing while we were in West Virginia.
Logan's First Baseball Game of the Season
Logan was up early this morning for his first baseball game of the season, which started at 8 am. No one complained that the game started at 8 am,since it had not reached 90 degrees yet for the day. Logan was so excited to play. He hit the ball great and played 3rd base and outfield during the game. He is #8 in the pictures. Shawn is helping coach the team this year and I believe he enjoyed it as much as Logan did. As most know - he can not be quiet and he cheered for both teams the entire time. He pitched for Logan's team and was helping the pitcher on the other team understand where to go if he caught the ball. One of our mom's told him - "you are not suppose to coach the other team too". He really does get into the game. It was a great morning.
This Week's Swim Meet
Everyone swam great this week. Madison swam the 50 Free and the 25 Breaststroke and relays. Logan swam the 25 Free and the 25 Backstroke. Mimi came to watch and the kids loved it.
First Swim Meet of the Season
Spring Break
We took a short detour on the way home from Knoxville and stopped in Chattanooga to visit the aquarium. The kids had a good time. They enjoyed the hotel and eating out as much as anything (I think). We then stopped at the Tellus Science Museum in GA where they loved it and we definitely will be going back. We dug for fossils and panned for gems, learned about magnets, wind and electricity. We visited a solar house and Madison decided it was definitely too small to live in. Logan enjoyed the big trucks parked outside and the large dinosaurs. Madison enjoyed the space section where she learned about the space program.
