Stay tuned for pictures from Kim's trip to China!! Yes, as in China the country!
I had a business trip to Tianjin, China so I went a day early and stayed a little longer to do some sightseeing. I was able to visit -
The Great Wall
Forbidden City
Ming Tombs
Temple of Heaven
Summer Palace
Chinese Health Clinic
Tienanmen Square
Don't worry - they also have shopping in China - A jade factory, the silk museum to see how silk is made from silk worms (yes - really worms), the pearl store and the local street vendors.
I don't think I will ever complain about Atlanta traffic or the New York Subway again. While in Beijing - I took the subway and it was like squeezing clowns into a clown car. Traffic is like nothing I have ever experienced - people do NOT have the right of way and there is no such thing as slowing down to let someone over.
Disney on Ice
Logan's Fieldtrip to the Farm
Stone Mountain Pumpkin Festival
Saturday was a beautiful day, so we decided to head over to Stone Mountain to enjoy the afternoon. The view from the top was outstanding. Madison and Logan were both full of questions. Madison wanted to know where the peak of the mountain was, since all of the mountains in pictures have a point at the top. Logan wanted to know how high it was and if someone could jump off the top. so if you see the headlines that read "4 year old jumps from the top of Stone Mountain" you will know it was probably Logan.
State Swim Team Award Ceremony
Madison received her state swim team award at the City Council Meeting last week. She was very excited as were we all until we realized that the swim team awards were not first on the agenda. The mayor was very excited to see such a large crowd at the meeting (full of parents and swimmers) so I guess he decided we should all know what goes on at such a meeting.
