Decorating Mimi's Tree

For as long as I can remember, we have always decorated Mimi's Christmas tree as a family. Some years it has gone up before Thanksgiving because that was when the family could get together. Other years it went up a couple of days before Christmas. But whenever it went up - it went up with all the family participating. As you will notice, the boys are the cheering section.

Official Start of Christmas

We put our Christmas Tree this past Sunday. The bottom is nicely decorated - thanks to Logan.

Which picture will Mimi choose for her Christmas Card?

Fall Leaves! What fun!

Thanksgiving Dinner at Logan's Preschool

While I was out of town, Shawn, Madison & Logan had Thanksgiving Dinner at Logan's school (made by the children). Vegetable soup and cornbread. Logan enjoyed playing with his friends more than dinner.

Halloween Night

Halloween was a wet and rainy day in Atlanta. We went Trick or Treating to a couple of neighbors and then decided to just hand candy out at the door. Logan decided that he wanted to be a football player instead of Spiderman. Madison went as Spiderella, but didn't want any makeup or for her hair to be done. Oh Well!

Halloween

It has been a busy month, so I have gotten behind. We had a great time carving pumpkins (Shawn and Madison) while Logan and I chose to decorate with Pooh.

Shakerag Fall Carnival

I believe a fall carnival is standard for most all Elementary Schools. Why Not? The kids love it and it is a great fundraiser for most schools. Madison's school carnival was on Saturday afternoon/evening. On the first try at the Cake walk, Logan won. With table full of homemade cakes, pies and cookies, Logan picks the 2 pound bucket of animal crackers. Shawn carried that around the rest of the night and Logan stopping every few minutes to get some more cookies (Logan was in heaven). Madison tried her luck at the Ladder rope and made it to the top, with some help. We passed on the zip line and the pony rides, since the lines were extremely long. We stuck to the bean bag toss, ring toss, slides, moon walk, etc.

The petting zoo was a highlight for Logan.

Logan finally plays Soccer

OK, so the first game did not go so well. The last two games, Logan has loved playing soccer, so much that you can't get him off the field when it is someone else's turn. This past Saturday, the coaches just gave up and let them all play on the field. Now granted, not all were wanting to play soccer. Some wanted to play in the dirt, play chase, or laugh. But they all had fun!!

Logan's First Soccer Game

Logan had his first soccer game last week and Aunt Lynn, Ally and Matthew came down to watch. Well, they got to see the team play, but Logan decided he did not want to play, so he spent the game on the sidelines.

Logan's First Day of Preschool

Logan started preschool last week at North Atlanta Preschool He loves going to school an staying to eat lunch with his friends. He has 12 children in his class and all but 3 are girls, so Logan calls them all his girlfriends.

Madison turns 8!

Madison had a great party at the pool and finshed the summer with jumping off the 3 meter diving board more commonly known at Gulfwood as the high dive.

Logan goes fishing

Logan went on his first fishing trip with Uncle Cody and Pepops. Take a look at what Logan caught (with some help, I think).

Madison's First Soccer Game

Madison had her first soccer game and scored a goal!!

Soccer & Gymnastics

Madison has started gymnastics on Wednesdays and soccer starts next week. Madison and Logan both will be playing soccer this fall in the Upward Soccer league at the baptist church down the road. They are both every excited for practice to start (at least for now).

School has started!

Madison has finished her first two weeks of school and really enjoys it. The only downside is that school starts at 7:45. Last year, school did not start till 9am in NJ. She has meet several new friends in her class and on the school bus. Shawn and Logan are settling into their routine of taking Madison to school, going to the gym, running errands, etc. Logan will start preschool after Labor Day and he will go three days a week.

Jammin' with the family

On our last trip to Knoxville, we spent part of the evening enjoying Guitar Hero with the entire Brown family. Let's just say, we are all musically challenged. I think Logan only hit 2 or 3 people while trying to play the drums.
