We decided to visit Stone Mountain Park on Saturday. Each night there is a laser light show on the side of the mountain. We took our picnic dinner and had a great time. We decided to get annual passes since it is less than 30 minutes from the house and they have activities all year around including craft festival, pumpkin festival, Christmas activities, snow mountain, games, petting zoo, putt putt, etc. We enjoyed the train ride around the mountain and also the 4D movie - "Journey to the Center of the Earth". Shawn and Madison did the Sky Hike, which is a four level ropes course up in the trees. They finished two hours later. Logan enjoyed the little kid version, which took him only 10 minutes to complete, so we did it LOTS of times while we waited. Maybe Logan will be tall enough next year.
Last Weekday before school starts
Our Birdhouse!
Shawn, Madison & Logan built a birdhouse for the backyard. The old tree stump table that came from Granddad's is the perfect project bench for the kids.

Touch - A - Truck
We had a great Saturday morning enjoying all of the different trucks at the Alpharetta Touch-a-truck. It was slightly cloudy, which was perfect for being outside. There were firetrucks, motorcycles, trolleys, rallycars, RVs, school bus, tractors, 18 wheeler trucks, UPS truck, moving truck, and much much more!!
Madison swims in the State Meet!
Last month, Madison swam in the county swim meet and qualified to swim in the state swim meet for the City of Johns Creek. She has been practicing everyday over the last month to get ready for the meet. This month of practice has been considerably harder than her normal practices, but a little effort never hurt anyone. She swam 2 relays and the 25 yard backstroke. The top 8 from each event qualified for finals. Well Madison's relay finished 9th, which also meant that we were now staying for finals just in case a relay doesn't show. Well, everyone showed up. The experience was good and Madison had a good time even though it was a very hot day.
Logan's Birthday Weekend
On our trip to Knoxville, Logan celebrated his birthday again with family. He really enjoyed his Spiderman web shooter and double barrell shotgun (nerf) that he got from Uncle Wesley and Aunt Samantha!! Thankfully the silly string ran out quickly. Logan has already learned how to load the nerf darts and swing to to click shut, which is how he says it is done on TV. We are not sure if he has secretly been watching westerns at night or not. If so, he would come by that naturally.
Logan turns 4!!
Logan had a great birthday that included a morning of opening presents, riding his new bike, and lunch atChickfila. Mimi came to visit for his birthday and then took Madison and Logan to Knoxville for VBS at Hardin Valley. Logan loved his new bicycle!! Since he does not like cake or ice cream, he had his candles in oreo cookies. If I could have figured out how to put candles in a bag of chips, that would have been what Logan would have preferred.
