With the US Open on this week, Logan is learning the basics of golf.
Bronx Zoo
We spent Saturday at the Bronx Zoo with the PwC office. We had a great time. Logan enjoyed the animals even more than our last visit. IT was great to hear him say the names of the animals that he recognized. Madison got her face painted like a puppy after lunch. That was the highlight of her day. Logan is fascinated with the Giraffes. For those who like American Girl (Madison), they had Kit's house (playhouse) at the zoo for the children to play in. Madison and logan both enjoyed the "real" kid size house. It even had a backporch.
Coney Island Boardwalk
Since we were at the Aquarium, we decided to visit the boardwalk at Coney Island. We arrived around 9:45 and the boardwalk had a few people headed down to the beach, but otherwise fairly empty. We headed to the aquarium and then back to the boardwalk about 1;30. By now it was very crowded and lots of activities. This is the perfect place to people watch. The beach was wall to wall people from the boarwalk all the way to the ocean, about 75 - 100 yards for as far as we could see. We took in the sights and decided to go to the amusement park. Madison did not want to ride the "Big Wheel" as she referred to it. So we stuck to the kiddie rides and the games. Madison/Shawn won a stuffed cow at the watergun game. I believe that was the highlight of her day.
NYC Aquarium
We decided to take advantage of the warm weather (95 degrees) to visit the NYC Aquarium on Saturday. It is a small aquarium located on the Coney Island Boardwalk. The highlight of the day was the feeding of the Walrus and the sealion show. Logan would have stood at the underwater viewing glass and watched the walrus all day, since he kept swimming right up the glass, as if to say "Hello".
